Toyota Motor on Monday announced it would appoint Sandeep Singh as Deputy Managing Director of the company for India operations.
"Singh's appointment will be formalised at the next Board of Directors meeting scheduled to be held on July 28, 2008," Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.
Earlier in May, TKM's longstanding Deputy Managing Director KK Swamy left the company and joined luxury carmaker Volkswagen.
"Singh brings with him over 25 years of experience in a range of Sales, Marketing, Customer Support and General Management functions across the automotive, tractor and construction equipment industries," TKM said.
Sandeep Singh had already worked with TKM in the initial years of its start up apart from having worked with DCM Toyota earlier, it added.

This is in refrence to my booking of the toyota altis on 19th of august through shagun motors ulhasnagar who in turn have booked at shinrai motors juhu vide docet number a20100001762. the booking is in the name of omprakash manchandya.
we had booked this car through you on the assurance that we will be getting the delivery in 4-5 weeks, but despite your so called best efforts and our follow ups i have not yet recived the car. it was suppose to be our dream car and we really wanted it before dashera.
we have been in constant touch with all the concern people, who have been time and again giving us the false promises. today as we spoke angrily to the staff of shinrai motors, they flatly said that they cannot give deliver for another 15 days,this is really pathetic. we book our car for our hopes, for our happiness and we in our group have got so many toyota cars, but this experience has been really v v poor.
we were buying this car as there was dashera and also wedding in our family, but your service and response have dampened our sprit and spoiled our joy.
we never expected this kind of service from company like yours, really a pity. dont know what to say more.
